A Seed’s Journey: Can the Seed Rain and Seed Bank Supply Missing Diversity to Restored Prairies?

Presenter: Dr. Katherine Wynne, Plant Ecologist Midwest Natural Resources Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Katherine Wynne graduated with a Ph.D. in Plant Biology and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from Michigan State University in 2024 and a B.A. in Biology from Kalamazoo College in 2017. Since 2016, she has developed, led, and collaborated on plant-focused research projects at the population and community level. These projects include working with rare Lake Michigan dune plants and restored and remnant tallgrass prairie plant communities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
